A few minutes. The poles push into the connectors and the cover goes over the frame, following the manual in the box. No tools are needed.
Can it be used outside?
Yes, indoors or outdoors. Bring it in if the weather turns, and let it dry before it goes back in its bag.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the fabric down. It is made to be cleaned that way rather than machine washed.
Does it fold away?
Yes. It comes apart and packs into the carry bag it arrives in.
How many children fit inside?
Two to three, depending on their size and what they are doing in there.
What age is it for?
It suits pre-school and primary-age children. The listing does not state a specific age.
Are the poles sturdy?
The frame is made to hold the tent steady in normal play. It is a fabric play tent, not a climbing frame, so it is not built to be climbed on.
Does it have windows?
Yes, soft mesh panels that let air through and let you see in.
Can I put a light or cushions inside?
Yes. Cushions, soft toys and blankets are what most people add.
Does it come with a floor mat?
No. The listing does not include a floor mat, so it sits on whatever surface you put it on.
What colour is it?
Pink, with the castle detailing shown in the photographs.
Is it in stock?
Yes. Both tents are held in stock and ship on the delivery times above.

Princess castle tents: what to look at before you buy

A six-sided castle with room to stand up in
Most fabric play tents are square, and a square tent of this width has less usable floor than you
would think, because the corners are where the walls slope in. This one is a hexagon, 140cm across
and 135cm high, and the six-sided shape is the reason children can stand up inside it rather than
kneel.
It has curtained doors and mesh windows, so there is air moving through it and you can see in from
across the room.
What you actually get
The tent, sturdy poles, secure connectors, a carry bag and a step-by-step instruction manual. It is
made from premium polyester, light enough to move on your own and steady once it is up.
It fits two to three children comfortably, which is what makes it work for playdates rather than
only for solo play.
Putting it up
A few minutes, following the manual. The poles go into the connectors and the cover goes over the
top. There are no tools involved and nothing that needs an adult's strength, though an adult
usually does the first build.
Choosing between the two tents
The Fairy Play Tent is 121cm wide and comes with fairy star lights included. This castle is 140cm
across, hexagonal, and has more room inside, but no lights in the box.
Buy on the space you have and the number of children who will use it. If it is going into a corner
of a small bedroom, the fairy tent is the easier fit. If it is for two or three at a time, this one
is the one with the floor space.
Looking after it
Wipe it down rather than washing it, and let it dry before packing it away. Store it in its bag
somewhere dry. It is a fabric play tent, so it is built for playing in rather than climbing on.
